Let down by our builder we were referred to Jay at Leicester Carpenters to build us 2 timber roofs (one double storey side extension connecting into the main roof and one for our rear extension). The quote came in at a reasonable amount for labour only and we proceeded with hiring him (Jay let me know what he needed and I sourced most of the materials). Start date was only a couple of weeks which was great for us. He turned up when he said with 3 other chippies and they sprung to work. They built the main roof structure section in about a week and came back when we were ready for the rear roof structure. Building control checked roofs and were happy with the work.
Jay also fitted insulation boards in the rear extension roof, all soffits, facias, guttering and facia boards on my gable over the bay window. Jay and his team were very helpful with connections which helped me get a low cost skip, brickie, steel, soffits, facia boards and guttering.
They also helped me and a friend lift a 4.7m 300kg steel beam in over my bi-folds doors which was very kind of them! I would definitely recommend them for any of the work they did for me. Thanks guys!
